BlueLine Freight is looking for a reliable and professional Night Trunking Driver to join our general haulage operation based in Kidderminster. This is a full-time HGV driving role suited to an experienced driver who is confident working nights, handling scheduled trunk runs and working with double deck trailers.

The work is straightforward, well-planned and focused on trunking between key logistics hubs, ports and distribution centres. Typical routes may include movements linking Kidderminster with major freight locations such as Immingham, Felixstowe, Bridgwater, Warrington and Wellingborough. This is not multi-drop parcel work. It is structured night trunking with clear instructions, modern equipment and support from our transport team.

We are especially keen to hear from drivers with previous experience pulling double deck trailers, although full site familiarisation will be provided. You will be working as part of a busy transport operation where safety, timekeeping and good communication are genuinely valued. If you are based in or around Kidderminster and have experience on routes towards Immingham, Felixstowe, Bridgwater, Warrington or Wellingborough, this could be a strong long-term move.

This role offers earnings of up to £46,114 per year, depending on shift pattern, experience and agreed rota. The Night Trunking Role

As a Night Trunking Driver with BlueLine Freight, you will be responsible for moving freight safely and efficiently between depots, distribution centres and logistics locations. The work is mainly trunking, with planned departures from the Kidderminster area and regular trailer movements to and from national freight routes.

You may be allocated runs that connect with major UK freight locations including Immingham, Felixstowe, Bridgwater, Warrington and Wellingborough. Some shifts may involve running to a hub, completing a trailer swap, waiting for reloading or returning with a pre-loaded trailer. Other shifts may include a direct delivery to a customer depot or collection from a partner site.

The special requirement for this vacancy is double deck trailer work. Drivers must be comfortable with the additional awareness required when working with double deck trailers, including height awareness, bridge planning, safe coupling and uncoupling, load security checks and careful manoeuvring in yards.

The role will suit a driver who enjoys nights, is happy working independently and understands the importance of keeping the network moving. Whether you have previously trunked between Kidderminster and Warrington, run port work towards Immingham or Felixstowe, or covered depot routes around Wellingborough and Bridgwater, your experience will be valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete night trunking runs from the Kidderminster transport operation.
• Operate HGV vehicles safely and professionally on general haulage work.
• Work with double deck trailers, including safe coupling, uncoupling and checks before departure.
• Carry out trunk movements to distribution centres, ports and partner depots, including routes associated with Immingham, Felixstowe, Bridgwater, Warrington and Wellingborough.
• Complete vehicle checks and trailer checks in line with legal and company requirements.
• Report defects promptly and accurately to the transport office.
• Follow planned routes, paying particular attention to bridge heights and access restrictions when using double deck trailers.
• Ensure loads are transported securely and in line with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes, collection paperwork and tachograph entries.
• Communicate clearly with the transport office, warehouse teams and customer sites.
• Represent BlueLine Freight professionally at all depots, customer locations and collection points.
• Work to drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation at all times.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a dependable HGV driver who understands night trunking and takes a steady, professional approach to the job. This is a role where planning, safety and reliability matter. You will need to be comfortable working at night, following route instructions and dealing with transport office updates during your shift.

Double deck trailer experience is strongly preferred. If you have pulled double deck trailers on general haulage, retail distribution, supermarket trunking or pallet network work, we would be interested in speaking with you. Experience on trunk routes to Immingham, Felixstowe, Bridgwater, Warrington or Wellingborough would also be useful, although it is not essential.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous HGV driving experience in general haulage, trunking, depot-to-depot or distribution work.
• Experience with double deck trailers is preferred due to the nature of the work.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours, tachograph rules and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Strong awareness of height restrictions, route planning and yard safety.
• Reliable timekeeping and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work nights and follow planned trunking schedules.
• Good communication skills with transport planners and customer sites.
• Right to work in the UK.
